Join us for a Moemoeā Kaitahi
Tēnā koutou
We invite you to connect at Te Ngāhere on July 30th for an evening of wānanga, celebrating Matariki with a hākari.
Hākari is at the heart of this gathering. Here, we hold hākari, to whakanoa, hōnonga, connect, celebrate endings and beginnings, be present in abundance, and to honour kai as aroha rōngoa.
Moemoeā provides safe, inspiring spaces for whānau to deepen hōnonga connection to whakapapa and mātauranga, and to explore how this shapes hinengaro, mental health, and tātou tātou, collective wellbeing.
This evening is an invitation to gather, to share stories, to dream, and to imagine what becomes possible when we nurture ourselves and each other.

He Kaupapa Ora | A Living Kaupapa
Moemoeā, a living kaupapa to be nurtured, guided by maramataka, grounded in tikanga, and grown through hāpori, grounded and woven with mauri, tapu, mana & noa.
Moemoeā is a community for those who desire to listen, learn, be inspired, connect, and reconnect. Here, we create space for wānanga, to share kai, and to provide platforms for innovation rooted in Te Reo Māori, mātauranga, and tikanga.
The lived experiences of our tūpuna, the now, and the aspirations of future generations guide this hāpori as we weave mātauranga Māori into systems of change, innovation, navigating both the present and the time to come.
Culture is our anchor. Balance, reconnection, and identity are central to the wellbeing of those within this space.
